About Us

At Tiny Tasters we're all about FOOD! Through hands-on cooking experiences and fun with food, our aim is to support children to develop a positive and healthy relationship with food and cooking. Whether you join us for one of our community classes, a bespoke birthday party, a children's event across the North East or as part of our school programmes, we'll take your taster on a culinary adventure to remember. Our focus is on three main elements-

Food confidence- Having the confidence to try new foods opens up a whole new world of foodie delights for little ones. Whether it’s being able to enjoy a family meal at a restaurant or simply establishing a healthy and balanced diet at home, our classes are a sure fire way to help your child to be confident around food.

Early Cooking Skills- We teach a staggering 86 cooking skills, which will stay with your little one for life. Accompanied by an assortment of catchy and tuneful songs, your tiny taster won’t be the only one singing in the kitchen!

Recipe Inspiration- Don’t worry, after our class is over the cooking fun doesn’t end there. Our simple, child-friendly recipe cards mean you can make our dishes again and again at home with the whole family.

Tiny Tasters was founded by Lyndsay Myhill, mum to three food confident littlies and former primary school and deputy head teacher. Lyndsay’s Tiny Tasters journey began in 2016 whilst at home on maternity leave where she found herself spending more and more time in the kitchen, cooking from scratch for her growing brood. Lyndsay’s eldest girls were never far from the action, always keen to have one more mix or lick of the spoon! In 2017 Tiny Tasters was born.

Our team has grown organically across the North East of England, allowing like- minded food enthusiasts to start their own business, manage their own diary and have that work life balance everyone dreams of.

Tiny Tasters is multi award winning including being named as the ‘Most Loved Academic or Creative Activity’ in the prestigious What’s on 4 Kids Awards in 2021. We are proud members of the Children’s Activities Association, giving our parents peace of mind when choosing Tiny Tasters as an activity for their child.
